The River People

What a curious landscape I have stumbled across.

It looks peacefully abandoned.

The skeletons of great structures.

Fallen ruins near the shore.

Homes washed away by forgotten memories.

There is broken beauty in these mountains.

They were once fields to feed a great nation.

All burnt to extinction.

Nought but broken twigs brave these barren lands.

They must have reached for the sky.

Hereby I name them, the River People.

THIS IS A WORK OF FICTION
