The performance is a fictional story that unfolds as the protagonist, a young lady, steps out from her portrait to recount her life’s journey. Through her narrative, we are transported to the vibrant streets of Punjab, India where the rhythms of Bhangra echo through the fields and alleyways. Join us in a celebration of community and resilience, reminding us of the importance of coming together to honour the land that sustains us and to rejoice in the abundance that it provides.
Each print presents a single long-exposure, with the dancer multiplied into joyful crowds through use of flash and strobe lights, evoking the vibrancy and colour of Bhangra dance.
