You, as many others before you, venture into the forest in search of treasure. You have powerful allies at your side, but other parties roam these woods, and they will stop at nothing to reach their goal.

Will you prevail? Will you be the last player standing?

Forest Fighters is a roleplaying fight to the death with simple mechanics. Using character cards, players go head to head to be the last one alive.

I have never enjoyed massive multiplayer online role playing games (MMORPG) as I find it really difficult to interact with other players and they often feel more like a single player experience with the gift of lag. This was an attempt to create a physical version of them.

The first challenge to arise was the continuity issue. MMORPG are not designed to end, each player builds their character overtime, at different paces. In Forest Fighters each player is given the same resources at the beginning of the game, and can gain more at the shop, or by discovering treasures.

Players start the game with ten HP each. Each battle lost, loses you an HP point. Battles are fought with characters, all with a separate amount of health points. Each player can only have four active characters at a time, and can only replace their party once all of them have been defeated. A battle is played with one character against another, and it's lost if the character loses all of their HP.
